First time there. I was amazing by the original decor. Every wall was covered in dollar bills, some were written on, some autographed. There were dollar bills on the chairs on the tables on the ceiling.. everywhere. I don't know the history of this place but I was pleasantly surprised and excited I couldn't wait to get my Louisiana food. The waitress was extremely polite unfortunately she didn't have much history on the place and the reason for the dollar bills other than it started before covid-19. The food unfortunately I was disappointed in. It wasn't at all Cajun cuisine to me. I know Cajun cuisine been to NOLA several times. The presentation was beautiful but it lacked seasoning. Which was a chicken breast smothered in a gravy type sauce with crab meat with dirty rice which didn't taste at all like dirty rice and the rice was overcooked. I do plan on revisiting. The place has been there 40 years so maybe next time. I'll be amazingly surprised.

Don’t let the classic dive vibe or the walls covered in dollar bills fool you, the food here tastes straight up homecooked and incredible! I got the blackened chicken fettuccine, which was rich, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the catfish, and it was cooked to perfection. Do NOT skip the onion rings they are easily the best in Lubbock. Great atmosphere, unbelievable food, and awesome energy all around. We will definitely be back!

I am from Mississippi so I feel like I know what Cajun food is supposed to taste like. The food was cooked well and the plate was presentable but there was a absolutely no seasoning or flavor which I was highly disappointed since Louisiana cuisine is what's being advertised. I will not be returning. The waitress was really nice

Great experience here! Don’t have a lot of Cajun options back home so I had to try this, everything was on point. Food was fresh and hot and cooked to perfection, the staff was very nice and I was overall satisfied. I ordered the seafood fettuccine and I could not recommend it enough!

“Disgusting” Has 2 waitresses sticky bar under cooked food. Should be shut down. Thats sad to say because I hope for good food. I ordered catfish’s plate. Fries coleslaw. Simple. Hot beer under cooked food. Just so disappointed. $25.00 for 2 pieces of cat fish which is a full order of catfish, under cooked fries, and hush puppies. Once got food never asked if I needed anything. This is poor excuse for a restaurant. It was 2 pm on a Saturday. Not overly full. Very dual place.
